Swami Pranavamritananda Puri

Swami Pranavamritananda Puri first met Amma (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi) in 1979. Drawn to her profound spiritual teachings and unconditional love, Swamiji joined the ashram in 1980, marking the beginning of his unwavering commitment to a life of service and spiritual pursuit.

Swamiji holds a B.Sc. degree in Zoology and an M.A. degree in Sanskrit Literature. Amma entrusted him with the responsibility of teaching Sanskrit to ashram residents.

Through his erudite discourses on Amrita TV, Swamiji has been able to share deep spiritual insights with audiences far and wide.

Swamiji is also a prolific composer, having scored and written numerous devotional songs. In addition, he is an accomplished singer and percussionist, and has accompanied Amma to programs in India and abroad.

Swamiji is the author of four books in English – My Mother My Master, Dawn of the Divine, Way of the Wise, and Petals of the Heart, and three books in Malayalam – Amma Nalkiya Pathangal, Amrita Sougandhikam, and Amrita Ragam. All of them offer readers a deeper understanding of spiritual principles and provide invaluable guidance on the path to self-discovery.
